Public Invited to Open House on Roadway Improvements
The public is invited to an open house on proposed roadway improvements in east Lincoln from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 7 in the Kahoa Elementary School lunchroom, 7700 Leighton Ave.
The project will improve Adams Street between 75th and 90th streets, providing a paved roadway with curb, gutter and sidewalks as well as left-turn and right-turn lanes at intersections. Also included in the project is an evaluation and potential improvement of 84th Street to a six-lane roadway from one-quarter mile north and to one-quarter mile south of Adams, with left-turn and right-turn lanes at intersections. The 84th Street work is currently in the beginning design phase, and many options are being considered. Construction is expected to begin by spring of 2008.
Representatives from the City of Lincoln and HWS Consulting Group will be in attendance to answer questions and discuss concerns.
