Project Background

Construction of Phase I of the Beal Slough Relief Trunk Sewer project is underway. Phase I is the first phase of a multi-phased and multiyear project for providing additional capacity necessary to meet current and future growth in the Beal Slough basin. This relief trunk sewer adds 60-inch, 36-inch, and 30-inch diameter piping that runs parallel to an existing line.

  • 605 LF of 60-inch diameter sewer
  • 3,617 LF of 36-inch diameter sewer
  • 5,473 LF 30-inch diameter sewer
  • 550 LF of 27-inch diameter sewer
  • Roadway crossings at 14th Street, Southwood Drive, and 27th Street to be tunneled. No disruption to the traveling public.
Total Project Cost: $ 6,925,000 (Estimated)
Construction Contract Cost: $5,725,416.20
Funding: Sanitary Sewer Revenue Funds
Percentage of Project Completion: 5% (as of 9/15/06)
