Northeast Salt Creek Trunk Sewer
As Lincoln grows, the Lincoln Wastewater System (LWWS) continues to implement the projects identified in its Facility Plan to meet the needs of the community. The Northeast Salt Creek Basin service area extends north of Salt Creek from 84th Street on the east to approx. 1st Street on the west and up to approx. 4 miles north of Interstate 80. This project is intended to serve Lincoln's growth as designated in the Comprehensive Plan for Tier IA, IB and IC as well as a limited extended area outside the designated areas.
The study phase of this project will outline how the conclusions and recommendations for the sizing of the proposed facilities can be implemented to provide the capacity for the growth anticipated by the City's Comprehensive Plan. The opportunity exists to not only improve the overall collection system, but to place facilities in locations that enhance the future development process.
The need for the proposed NE Salt Creek Trunk Sewer is being driven by proposed development along the 56th Street corridor. Proposed residential, commercial, and industrial developments will be served by the trunk sewer.

Project Summary
- Project Information:
- Construct a new 36 inch trunk sewer beginning at the 60 inch Deadman's Run Trunk Sewer which conveys flow to the Northeast WWTF, along North 70th Street and extending north across Salt Creek and west along the north bank of Salt Creek to 56th Street.
The Sub-basin sewer will extend north along the west side of 56th Street to provide service north of Interstate 80. - Opinion of Probable Project Cost:

Sub-Basin Sewer - $1,200,000
