Date Changed for Open House on Street Projects
An open house to discuss City arterial street rehabilitation projects being funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is now set for Monday, August 3 (The original date was Thursday, July 30). The public is invited to attend the event from 5 to 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at Mickle Middle School, 2500 N. 67th St. Parking and the entrance are on the west side of the building.
The following projects will be discussed:
- The rehabilitation of Holdrege St. from 33rd to 47th
- The rehabilitation of Adams St. from 57th to 62nd
- The rehabilitation of N. 70th St. From Aylesworth to Vine
- The rehabilitation of Holdrege St. from 70th to 79th
These projects are currently in the design stage and are tentatively scheduled for construction in 2010 and 2011. The meeting will allow citizens the opportunity to review the proposed projects. Representatives from the City Public Works and Utilities Department will be available to explain the projects. The design teams will seek public input on the proposed projects and will meet with attendees one-on-one to answer questions.
