Caught "Green Handed" in 2012

Caught "Green Handed"

On Sunday, November 18, 2012, Dr. R.E. Cycle made an unexpected appearance at six different recycling drop-off sites around the City. Many people were "caught green handed," bringing their household recyclables to the drop-off sites. The City of Lincoln Recycling Office would like to acknowledge the following people for taking the time to recycle: Cathy Bristol, Glenda Langley and mother, Ken Darby, Lalit Jha, Micki Cruthers, Jim Cassel, Jeff Fortenberry and family, Brian Schwinck, Chris Andregg, Terry Schonove, Lynn Stangl, Elisa Hesse, LeAnn Frobom, Michaela Glover, Scott Williamson, Luke Peterson, Alex and AJ Lake, David Fortune, Phyllis McCaul, and Jefferson and Jackson Roberts.

The residents were awarded with a prize package that included a re-usable canvas tote bag, water bottle, Pepsi products, and coupons for free food from Amigos, Runza, Red Mango, and Colby Ridge Popcorn. All items in the prize packages were generously donated by businesses and organizations in the area. Since 1990, the network of drop-off sites has collected 228 million pounds of recyclables.
