Karen and Nicole Hudson are a mother/daughter team. They live in Lincoln, Nebraska where Nicole is a student at UNL majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife. Both believe strongly in giving back to the community and volunteer with many organizations. This was an opportunity to show their support for the Lincoln Children's zoo where Nicole volunteered for 5 years with their zoo crew program. Karen has been a volunteer with the Cornhusker Council BSA organization where she has assisted with various artistic projects over the years. Neither Karen nor Nicole have a strong background in art but enjoy doing projects such as this together. This was very much a joint effort from design to application. They are pleased with the result of their efforts and hope that you will be too.
We tend to take what nature has to offer us for granted. From the delicate iridescent wings of a butterfly to the many intricate colorful shapes of foliage, the gifts nature provides us are all around. As good stewards, we should do our part in giving back. What better way to do this than by employing the use of rain barrels. We hope our design is a reminder of all that we should be thankful for.
