Rachel Vogel is an artist who grew up on a farm near Howells, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and studied abroad for a semester at the Utrecht School of the Arts in Utrecht, Netherlands. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNK in December with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. She enjoys painting with oil and drawing with pastel. Awards she has received include: Best of Show at the Columbus Arts Council's Ernestine Quick Memorial Art Exhibition, January 2013; Best of Division in Pastels at the Nebraska State Fair 2012; and Second Place Best of Show at UNK's Undergraduate Juried Art Exhibition, Spring 2012.
