Public Invited to Open House on Stormwater Improvement Project

Residents of Lincoln are invited to a stormwater improvement project open house from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 14 at Clinton Elementary School, 1520 North 29th St. The project will improve storm drainage between 27th and 29th streets near Fair Street.

Design work is nearing completion on this project, which will include construction of a storm sewer along 28th Street from Potter Street to north of Leighton Avenue. The project is funded through the stormwater bond issue approved by voters in 2005, and construction is expected to begin in late winter or early spring of 2007.

Participants in the open house will have the opportunity to meet with members of the project team, learn more about the project and provide feedback.

For more information on the open house or on the project can contact Kent Evans with the City Public Works and Utilities Department at 441-7583, or Lisa Behrns with Olsson Associates at 458-5992.
