Tentatively scheduled for January 31, 2007. Adoption of the updated floodplain maps and companion ordinance.
The City of Lincoln, in cooperation with the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District and in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, has been updating flood hazard information for a number of streams in the Lincoln area. Updated maps for the Salt Creek Floodplain have been finalized and are ready for local adoption. Please join us at the open house to view the updated floodplain maps and hear about the companion ordinance to address the Salt Creek flood storage areas. The draft maps and companion ordinance can also be viewed on the City's web site at: lincoln.ne.gov, keyword: Salt Creek.
