- Water Quality Wetlands
- Project Description:
- The existing pond does not have the ability to remove pollutants such as fluids that drip from vehicles and fertilizer from area lawns, before stormwater flows from the pond into Beal Slough. The solution is to improve the ability of the pond to reduce pollutant levels, by lengthening the existing drainageway into the pond and by using special plant materials in and around the pond, to create a water quality wetland to reduce or remove these pollutants before they reach Beal Slough.
