- Description:
- A large portion of the Nebraska State Penitentiary will be in the new Beal Slough Floodplain. The project will consist of channel improvements, improvement of 14th Street bridge over Beal Slough and stream stability. The result of this project will reduce the flood risk for the Nebraska State Penitentiary and other properties in the area of 14th and Hwy 2. This project is being led by the Lower Platte South NRD with the City providing a cost share on the design.
