- Description:
- The area along Old Cheney between 6th Street and west of Warlick Boulevard has been experiencing frequent flooding over the road and onto adjacent properties. A drainage evaluation by Olsson Associates indicates that one of the major components causing the flooding in the area is the culvert under the railroad near 6th Street and Old Cheney.
- This project is to construct an additional conveyance under the railroad in order to reduce the water surface elevations upstream in the impacted area during minor and major storm events. This project will reduce flooding but will not eliminate it.
