About the Artist
The Lincoln Southwest HS Art Club, sponsored by Melissa Mordy

The Lincoln Southwest High School Art Club is a group of students who are interested in the fine and applied arts. The club is open to any LSW students who are interested in joining. The club meets after school, multiple times throughout the school year. Club members are able to explore many different art mediums to enhance their understanding of the world of art and design. Some of the projects the club has worked on during the 2008-2009 school year include: screen printing club t-shirts, building clay whistles, designing digital art, amongst many other exciting projects. The club really allows the members creativity to flow!!!

"Conserve Water, Preserve Life"

Location: Bess Dodson Walt Branch Library, 6701 S 14th St.

We chose the topic of water conservation and its effect on the Polar Regions. A good amount of our freshwater comes from icebergs. The more problems we have with our environment and climate change, the more the icebergs will melt and the Polar Regions will slowly diminish leaving nowhere for our polar animals to live. We want our community to be more conscientious of their environmental decisions. We must start somewhere to make a difference!
