About the Artist
Catherine Griesen and Linda Helton
Catherine Griesen and her mother, Linda Helton, collaborated on this 2010 Artistic Rain Barrel project.
Catherine, a local artist, received her art degree from Nebraska Wesleyan, is a bookbinder and a new mom to baby Neva. Linda's background is in biology and English. She is retired from Pfizer and is also a Master Gardener.

"Portal to the Prairie"
Location: Great Harvest Bread, 4815 Old Cheney Rd.
In this collaboration, we attempt to transport you into a peaceful wildflower garden. We have painted a rustic brick wall, on the edge of the open prairie. Surrounding the brick wall are untamed wildflowers such as roses, columbine, violets, and also several living creatures.
