About the Artist
Michelle Hansen-Daberkow & Cub Scouts Pack 43

Our barrel is delightfully brushed by cub scouts of pack 43. We are a group of fourteen grade school cub scouts from Lincoln parochial schools. As Cub scouts we learn about water conservation as we participate in den and pack activities. We enjoy learning about the science of water in nature, how to save energy, and how to use water safely. Cubs are concerned about the environment and we "Do Our Best" to protect it for future generations.

Artwork Interpretation
"Brushed by Cubs"

Location: Scheels, 2960 Pine Lake Rd

This barrel represents the different trails that cub scouts take on their way to becoming boy scouts. The bobcat, tiger, wolf and bear painted on our barrel portray these varied trails. We scouts paint with enthusiasm as we look forward to help serve the city of Lincoln, and the Lincoln zoo community.
