| Fresh Start, a residential facility that serves women who experience barriers in their lives, moved to a renovated building at 6433 Havelock Avenue in mid 2007. Urban Development helped fund repairs and improvements at the new location, which expanded Fresh Start's capacity. The new location has many advantages, including a lower crime rate, more job opportunities within walking distance, a nearby grocery store and pharmacy, bus line access and better parking.
Fresh Start offers a safe, structured, alcohol and drug free environment to homeless women, ages 19 or older and who do not have children in their custody. |
