New Construction: Old Mill Village

Old Mill Village, at SW 12th and South Streets, is mixed income, new housing being developed by Nebraska Housing Resource, Inc. (NHR). Phase 1, completed in 2004, included 15 new homes. Phase 2, scheduled for completion this fall, will add 51 more homes. When all phases are complete, there will be 66 new affordable houses and 65 new market rate houses on the 30.8 acre site.

NHR, a nonprofit created by the Home Builders Association of Lincoln, uses a mix of private and public fund sources, including: Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund, U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department, local banks, Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA), and City Urban Development Department.
