About the Staff Secure

The Staff Secure facility is designed to accommodate youth who are under Juvenile Court jurisdiction only and who do not require a locked facility for supervision and control. These youth will not have any contact with youth who are in the Juvenile Detention Center. The facility is unlocked; therefore, security and supervision are provided by the staff. A male and a female living unit consisting of ten bedrooms each is separated by a centralized commons area. Opposite gender youth interact only during structured activities. A fenced outdoor recreation yard with a garden area and basketball hoop is attached to the commons area. All programming, including school, recreation, and meals is conducted within ths Staff Secure Facility.
