Sharon Schrock, Nebraska State Board of Agriculture, appeared and
explained that the owners of Frontier Harley have a club and each
year they have a spring ride. At the end of the ride they hold a
banquet with entertainment and bar service. She stated they want
to use the outdoor area of Agricultural Hall to set up a beer garden
area.
Hudkins asked if there would be security to monitor the beer garden.
Schrock stated the corporation security is a uniformed security
company who works with the Board of Agriculture to stand by the
bars and check i.d.'s. She stated they can armband if they feel
it's necessary.
MOTION: Campbell moved and Tussing seconded approval. On call Steinman,
Svoboda, Tussing, Campbell and Hudkins voted aye. Motion
carried.
4) PUBLIC HEARINGS:

investigated and recommended denial because there was no negligence
found on the part of the County.

and Criminal Justice for Lancaster County's participation in a
statewide protection order registry, at no cost to the County.

Bill Jarrett, Chief Deputy Sheriff, appeared and explained a statewide
protection order registry is being implemented. He stated any protection
order filed in the State of Nebraska would be online and could be
accessed through the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) system.
Jarrett stated it will also enable them to access information regarding
gun registration permits. Operation and maintenance of the system will
be done by the Nebraska State Patrol.
Steinman asked if the information would be available nationwide.
Jarrett stated they hope it will be made available nationwide at some
point.
Steinman asked how many states are currently online.
Mike Overton, Nebraska Crime Commission, appeared and explained that the
Federal Bureau of Investigation is trying to perfect things at the
federal level. He added there are approximately seven states ready to
contribute data.
MOTION: Tussing moved and Campbell seconded approval. On call
Steinman, Svoboda, Tussing, Campbell and Hudkins voted aye.

Campbell stated the County-City will be presented an award at the Mid-
America Geographic Information System Symposium next Monday, May 4, 1998
at the Cornhusker Hotel and that Larry Worrell, County Surveyor, will be
representing the County.
Campbell also requested that the agreement with DocuPhase, Inc. be
reviewed when the County Board considers its budget. She stated Dave
Kroeker, Budget & Fiscal Officer, wants to review where they budget the
money and how they budget it. Campbell stated the Board should request
Brian Pillard, Records and Information Management and Information
Services to bring forth a recommendation as to how the issue should be
addressed and added that the issue shouldn't be lost.
