Affidavit of Publication

Whenever an Affidavit of Publication for a "Trade Name" is filed, the newspaper will send three (3) copies of the Affidavit to the individual who filed. The individual is responsible to send one copy to the Secretary of State, one copy to the Lancaster County Clerk and one copy is for their records.

An original copy of the Affidavit of Publication must be filed with the Lancaster County Clerk's Office with a filing fee of $5.00. After filing, a photocopy of the Affidavit, showing the date filed, will be returned to the sender to verify the filing.
