Lancaster Manor
Lancaster Manor operates on a sound financial basis in order to give you the maximum benefit for the least amount of money. You can be assured that good financial management will provide you with security and the highest quality life style as possible.
In order to maintain our high standards, we need you to form a partnership with us: agreement to pay your portion not covered by Title XIX (Medicaid) in a timely manner, the first week of each month. Arrangements for payments should be made prior to, or at the time of, residency. Financial receipts are made at the Business Office, Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
You should be aware that your room rate not only includes those items listed under Benefits and Features, but also includes: minor medical supplies, oxygen, use of health care equipment and personal grooming items such as deodorants, skin lotions, powders, shampoo and other articles necessary for good personal hygiene.
Accommodation fees or rates do not include: personal telephones, personal van trips, newspaper subscriptions, barber or beauty shop services, cleaning of nonwashable garments or non-approved medications.
Lancaster Manor offers you a continuum of care, twenty four (24) hours per day, seven days a week. Whether you enter your new home for a short recuperative period of time or for extended long term care, you will experience the best available quality medical supervision. Your complete medical intervention begins when you determine the physician of your choice. Your physician will provide Lancaster Manor with your medical assessments, diagnosis and written directives designed to improve or stabilize your current medication conditions. Upon your entering your new home, Lancaster Manor's professionally trained staff immediately mold and blend together the personal wishes of each resident, the concerns of family members along with the physicians directives in order to develop a personalized care plan designed to bring you the highest quality of life you can possibly experience.
Each Title XIX recipient may retain up to $50.00 of their monthly resources as determined by the income maintenance worker for personal use. This money may be spent at the discretion of the resident on such articles as cigarettes, candy, postage, writing supplies, personal clothing and other personal needs. To assure proper accounting of these funds, Lancaster Manor, in compliance with state and federal statutes, maintains individual sundry accounts. Residents may request a sundry account be opened in their behalf. It is suggested that residents carry no more than $2.00 to $3.00 on their person and obtain additional funds as needed from their sundry account. Guardians and conservators are to deposit the correct amount in the resident's sundry account each month. These funds are solely for the resident's personal use. Other uses of these funds subject the user to the possibility of legal action. Resident sundry accounts are interest bearing and are subject to state and/or federal audit Accordingly, it shall be the policy of Lancaster Manor to provide each resident or their representative with a quarterly accounting of all deposits to and withdrawals from their sundry account.
Personal or miscellaneous items needed by residents may be provided by the family or responsible party. Upon presentation of an authorized receipt, reimbursement for such purchases may be made from the resident's sundry account with the resident's signature. Residents are required to authorize all withdrawals of funds from their sundry account by their signature or written authorization.

Lancaster Manor's Resident Council is composed of residents who wish to be involved and who can help other residents exercise their rights. This group is involved in planning and implementing projects beneficial to Lancaster Manor and the community.
The monthly meetings of the Resident Council are led by an elected resident and assisted by a staff designee to receive comments and recommendations. Open meetings are held monthly for all residents to express interests or opinions regarding their daily life in the facility.
One function of the Resident Council is the resolution of residents' complaints or concerns with appropriate follow up by the Lancaster Manor staff.
