Sheriff Wagner Terry Wagner was elected Sheriff of Lancaster County, Nebraska, in November, 1994, and re-elected unopposed in 1998, 2002 and 2006. As Lancaster County Sheriff, he is the administrator of the 6th largest law enforcement agency in Nebraska, consisting of 73 sworn deputies, 25 civilian personnel, and an $8 million budget.

Prior to his election as Sheriff, Wagner served as a deputy sheriff for 18 years, attaining the rank of sergeant. Since his election, Sheriff Wagner has pursued professional excellence by accomplishing the following:

Sheriff Wagner's wife, Brenda, is a Registered Nurse at the University of Nebraska Student Health Center in Lincoln.

As the youngest child of a career Air Force family, Sheriff Wagner was born in Texas and has lived in several states and foreign countries.
