Fatal Crash 04/13/2008 The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double fatality accident which occurred on Sunday April 13, 2008, at 0941 hours, ½ mile West of SW 114th Street and West Hwy 33. A Westbound tractor trailer driven by Jerry L. Bailey, age 56 of Fairview, KS, was struck by an Eastbound 2002 Honda Civic, in the Westbound lane. The driver of the Honda, Nelya Strilkivsky, age 22, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Honda was occupied by two younger siblings of the driver. Anna Strilkivsky, age 7, a passenger in the rear seat was pronounced deceased at the scene. Tanya Strilkivsky, age 11, a front seat passenger, was life flighted to Bryan LGH West and is listed in critical condition. The truck was hauling a wheat flour product. Highway 33 remained closed for six hours for the investigation and site clean-up. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected. Restraints do not appear to be in use in the Honda. The accident remains under investigation. Next of kin notified.
