August 10, 2008 Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputies and Lincoln Police Officers are investigating several crimes that occurred this morning. Lincoln Police responded at 0719 hrs to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 7100 block of Morton Street. This vehicle was stolen by a w/m 6’ tall, slim build armed with a shotgun or rifle. That vehicle, a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was subsequently located at 0818 hrs in the driveway of a house in the N. 40th and Agnew Road area. The resident’s 2005 blue/silver Toyota Camry LE, Nebraska License PCM719 was missing from that residence. This Toyota has not been located, anyone who sees this vehicle is asked to contact 911 without approaching or making contact with the vehicle. At 1206 hrs deputies were detailed to a house in the area of N. 98th and Raymond Road regarding two persons who were found dead at that residence. Sheriff’s Investigators are at the scene conducting the investigation into these deaths, which are considered suspicious. It is unknown at this time whether the stolen vehicles and the deaths are related. Deputies are going door to door checking the welfare of residents in the Northeast part of the county and in search of the Toyota Camry with assistance from the Lincoln Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol Air Wing. Once again, anyone who sees this 2005 Toyota Camry, blue and Silver, with Nebraska License PCM719 are asked to contact law enforcement at either 402 441-6000 or 911. Citizens should NOT approach this vehicle as the occupants should be considered armed and dangerous. The suspect description is a w/m 30s 6’, slender, khaki shorts and gray hooded sweatshirt, armed with a shotgun or rifle. The victims from Raymond Rd have been identified as Steven age 60, and Carolyn Baily age 61. Next of kin has been notified. Autopsies are scheduled for this afternoon to determine the cause of death. The investigation at the scene is continuing this morning. The stolen Toyota Camry was located late last night in Lincoln by a Lincoln Police Officer in the area of 24th and Sewell.
![]() Brandon Christopher Crago age 34 is in custody. Crago is listed as a transient. The Lancaster County Attorney’s Office will decide what crimes Crago will be charged with. Investigators are working to determine if Crago acted alone in these crimes. County Sheriff
