The Village Board of Trustees, on October 9, 1995, passed a resolution formally approving the Village of Bennet Comprehensive Development Plan 1995. The Plan is now an official document which will serve as a guide for decisions about future development in the Bennet area.

The ultimate success of the Plan will be determined in the years to come. Successful community plans have the same key ingredients: "2% inspiration and 98% perspiration." Taking action on the numerous goals and objectives of the Plan is the vital next step.

Five elements of the Plan have been targeted for immediate action. These are the goals of highest priority and constitute the action agenda.

• Improve storm drainage in the Village
• Enhance sanitary sewer distribution system
• Improve sidewalk system within the Village
• Improve housing
• Improve the appearance of the Village
