Denton is a Village form of government. Five Trustees serve on the Village Board. Election for trustees is held every two years during the November General Election. Trustees serve a four year term. In December of every year the Trustees appoint a Chairman of the Board, Sewer Commissioner, Clerk/ Treasurer, Water Commissioner, Village Attorney and Street Superintendent.
Regular meetings of the Village Board are held on the first Monday of the month at 7 o'clock p.m. in the Denton Community Center. The public is encouraged to attend.
