Agriculture

Agriculture has always provided most of Waverly's rural homeowners with a means to provide for themselves. Yes, there are more people in the town of Waverly than its rural, though that has not always been. The CO-OP in Waverly is currently celebrating its 102nd birthday. This alone proves that farming has been around since the establisment of Waverly, Nebraska, United States and well before by Native Americans.

Farmers in the surrounding and Waverly and Lincoln areas are always at risk of expansion. As Lincoln and Waverly grow larger, so too the farms are disappearing. Yet, agriculture will always be an important part of Waverly's future like in the past. Someone must reap the prospers of the land and farmers will always be there. Even dispite the expanding cities and new technologies farmers still till the soil and harvest the crops, in Waverly.

Check in about 1-2 weeks for information about Waverly's Co-op and farmers history in detail.
