Bennie Shobe

Shobe earned an M.A. in Sociology from Western Kentucky University.

At the time of his 2017 run for office, Shobe was a program analyst for the Nebraska Department of Labor and an adjunct professor of criminal justice at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. His professional experience includes work in new product assembly for Molex and as a health surveillance specialist for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. He has also served as president of the Lincoln Branch NAACP and on the Lincoln Police Hiring and Promotion Committee, the Lincoln Commission on Human Rights, and the Malone Community Center Board of Directors.
