Handy Home Services

Many people find home maintenance responsibilities challenging. Our Handy Home Services program offers minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, repairs and general home maintenance tasks. We provide help with yard work such as mowing, trimming, edging, spring and fall yard cleanup, gutter cleaning, snow removal and more.

Transportation

Aging Partners Transportation

If you have your own transportation, you may visit any senior center of your choice, enjoy lunch, and participate in their events. Transportation is provided within a specific boundary area. If you live in Lincoln, van transportation to your neighborhood senior center is also available for a suggested contribution of $4 round trip. If you have questions, please call 402-441-7158.

For cancellations, please call 402-441-7863 the day before you need the van to schedule your pick-up time.

Lancaster County Public Rural Transit (LCPRT)

LCPRT is intended for any resident of Lancaster County (plus the nearby communities of Adams, Ceresco, Cortland, Eagle and Greenwood). Riders must be at least 13 to ride alone, and the other guideline to be met is that one boarding of the bus must occur outside Lincoln city limits.

Other Transportation Options

If you are no longer driving, options are available. These include assistance with public transportation, rides to our centers and rural and social transportation.

When It's Time to Move

If it is no longer safe for you to remain at home, but you aren't sure where to turn, Aging Partners can help you analyze your options. These include independent senior living communities, licensed assisted living facilities, subsidized housing, nursing home facilities and memory care facilities. Our counselors work with you and your family to match your needs and budget with appropriate housing and care.

Moving to a new home can be a challenge at any age. When moving to a smaller home you will need to prioritize which of your belongings you need most. Aging Partners can offer options for your successful transition to a new home.
