Door-to-door public rural transportation, serving the entire Lancaster County area plus the communities of Adams, Ceresco, Cortland, Eagle and Greenwood. Wheelchair accessible. Cost is $2 one-way, $4 round trip and $20 for a ten-punch rider card. One boarding must occur outside of the Lincoln City limits. As a Demand Route system multiple transfers are available upon request and subject to availability. Morning pick-ups and mid-day transfers are available with afternoon returns. Call to schedule trips as least one day in advance.
StarTran Bus Service — Paratransit
This door-to-door transportation service was created to help meet the transportation needs of individuals who experience disability and who, because of that disability, are unable to ride the regular fixed-routed city bus. Service is available to eligible individuals within the city limits of Lincoln. The individual requesting Paratransit services must complete an application. The cost is $3.50 one-way, $66.00 for a 20-ride pass, $34.00 for a 31 Consecutive Day Pass ($16.00 for eligible low-income patrons).

Dashabout Shuttle
Transportation from Colorado to Omaha, or points west. Fare is $39 one-way on a minivan, depending on the route. Shuttle runs seven days a week, depending on the route. You must call 24 hours in advance.
Low-Income Monthly Bus Passes
A 31-consecutive day bus pass for eligible low-income patrons is $8 and $16 for paratransit patrons. You must show ID. Only one pass per person, per month. Low-income guidelines and pass outlets can be found on the StarTran website.

Medicaid Transportation Company
Medicaid Waiver approved provider.
For medical appointments only. They will schedule your trip with a local transportation provider. You must call the transportation company or your Medicaid health plan to schedule your pick-up and return trip rides. You must call at least 3-days in advance to schedule a ride.
When you call, they will need the following:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Medicaid number
- Your address and destination address
- Appointment time
They will also need to know:
- Use a walker or wheelchair
- Use a medical escort
- Have special directions and instructions
- Are in an authorized Personal Assistance Service (PAS) plan

Para-transit Program — Handi – Van
Door-to-door transportation, including medical, within Lincoln city limits. Wheelchair accessible. $3.50 each way. Must have exact amount. No change given. Reservations need to be made several days in advance.
No service on certain holidays. Preregistration is required. Application for eligibility must be done through the League of Human Dignity at 402-441-7871.
Road to Recovery Transportation

Free transportation to and from medical appointments related to cancer treatment. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Not wheelchair accessible. This type of transportation is for cancer patients only and they must live in Lincoln. Call 72 hours in advance for reservations. Patient must be ambulatory.
Senior Saver/Go For Less Cash Fare
Reduced bus fares on fixed-route buses are available to people age 62 and over and disabled persons. Senior Saver, Go-For-Less, Medicare, State ID; or driver’s license must be presented when boarding the bus. Cost is only 85 cents or a 20-ride pass for $16.
Share A Fare
Cab coupon subsidy program sponsored by Share A Fare of Nebraska. You must live in Lancaster County, have visual impairment or legally blind. You must complete the on-line application, have it signed by a physician, O.T. or B.V.I. counselor. The amount paid for the coupon is doubled up to $100. Money issued on debit card.
VA Medical Center VAMC Transportation

Two buses run daily each way from VAMC Lincoln to VAMC Omaha at no charge. You must be a Veteran with appointments in Omaha. For reservations, call 48 hours in advance.
zTrip (formerly Happy Cab)
For seniors age 65 and over, cost is $2.95 (load fee) plus $1.68 per mile. Also accepts debit and credit cards as a form of payment for a $3 processing fee. Foldable wheelchair only.
