Senior Centers

Aging Partners Senior Centers are a great resource for information, activities and opportunities related to aging.

At your local center, you can enroll in health and fitness classes, enjoy recreational activities and share experiences with new and old friends. Lincoln has five senior centers and rural Lancaster County has three. Additionally, there are 13 senior centers in Aging Partners' multi-county service area.

Meals

Most centers offer a delicious hot noon meal as well as a variety of activities. Each center has a menu and newsletter posted on its web page. Reservations for lunch must be ordered by calling the center you wish to attend two days in advance to ensure that an adequate number of meals are prepared.

The actual cost of the meal is about $8, however individuals age 60 and over are asked for a suggested contribution of $5. Individuals who are younger than age 60 pay a fee of $10. Special holiday meals are also available to individuals age 60 and over for a suggested contribution of $6. Individuals younger than age 60 pay a fee of $9.

If transportation to and from the center is desired, you may reserve your transportation at the same time. You can find each center's lunch menu in the My Center News newsletter. You can also obtain information about free or low-cost food resources at the Center or by calling 402-441-7158 for the center nearest you. Some centers may serve as a distribution site for various food programs.
