Log into the Citizen Access page.
Click the Building tab to access the permits page.
The next screen will appear with a disclaimer. Please check the box and click on Continue Application button to move forward in the process.
Select your License from the drop down.
Select the type of permit. To check if address is within city limits use Lancaster County 3 and 8 Mile Map (If you need help with this process we have a document to walk you through the process upon request)
Fill in the address field’s street number and street name. For example, your address is 555 S 10th Street, Suite 203. You would only enter 555 for the street number and 10th for the street name.
Accela will pull the information in the other sections. If entered correctly the parcel number will auto fill. If you need to find the parcel number, it can be found on the County Assessor’s site.
The owners name will auto fill. If it doesn’t, use the County Assessor’s site to enter the information.
Choose select from account and the applicant information will autofill.
Choose from Account or Add New for the contacts you would like to provide.
Enter in the Detail Information and the Project Information on the permit. Include the legal description, site number, owner's name, and owner's contact information in the detailed description.
Some projects may require documents. When you have questions about required plans, please call Plan Review at 402-441-7882. Add your applications and forms into the permit by selecting 'Add'. Select Continue Application button. Plans will be uploaded into ProjectDox when notified.
Locate the file needed and select Add again. If you select the wrong one, click Remove All. If you are satisfied with the document chosen, then proceed with the file upload.
Click Continue once you see your document added at 100%.
Select the type, enter a description, and then click save.
Once the document is successfully uploaded it will look something like the following screenshot.
If you have more documents to upload please follow the file upload steps for each document until you have successfully uploaded all your documents. Once all your documents are successfully uploaded then you can 'Continue Application'.
Review your application for the correct information. Please make sure you have the correct contact information for your permit. Select Continue Application button.
You will receive a message about record submittal.. Your record number will start with the letter ‘B’.
