Submit a Fire Sprinkler Permit

Step 1.Review the requirements

Sprinkler System Contractors and Master Plumber Contractors are registered through VisualVault.  Sprinkler System Contractors and Master Plumber Contractors are required to carry the insurance for a permit submittal.

(OVERHEAD PERMITS) Sprinkler System permits shall only be issued to registered Sprinkler System Contractors. (UNDERGROUND PERMITS) Underground Piping permits shall only be issued to currently registered Master Plumber Contractors.

(UNDERGROUND PERMITS) Before any Master Plumber Contractor may be issued a permit to make excavations in the public way of the city, such Contractor shall deposit with the Department of Building and Safety a $5,000.00 payment bond.  Said bond shall provide that the Contractor shall pay to the City of Lincoln the cost of refilling such excavation and replacing the surface thereof.

Applicable codes can be found on the City of Lincoln’s website. By completing the permitting process, it is agreed that all rules, regulations, and ordinances of the City of Lincoln, now in effect, will be complied with, and that the installation will be made in accordance with all applicable fire system regulations and the appropriate NFPA standards.
