How to Prepare for an Eviction Court Hearing

1. Contact Legal Aid of Nebraska at 1-844-268-5627 immediately if you are facing eviction.
2. Attend ALL scheduled eviction hearings at the Lancaster County Courthouse, 575 S. 10th St., 2nd floor.
3. Bring necessary documents: Be prepared to provide your 2021 Federal Tax Return OR 2 months of pay-stubs/bank records, a copy of your lease, and landlord contact information.
4. Report suspected housing discrimination by submitting a confidential Lincoln Commission on Human Rights intake questionnaire or calling 402-441-7624.
