9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

It has been twenty years ago that 2,977 people were killed in the 9/11 attacks.  Among those killed were 343 Firefighters, 23 NYPD, and 37 Port Authority Officers. They gave all for us. We promised that we would never forget.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue, Lincoln Police, Lancaster County Sheriff, Nebraska State Patrol, and UNL Police have put together a memorial ceremony for Saturday, September 11. This year, the Urban Search and Rescue (US&R), Nebraska Task Force 1 (NE-TF1) members that responded to the World Trade Center and The Pentagon following 9/11 will be recognized.

Ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will be concluded at 9:30 a.m. and it will be broadcast live on City TV 5. 

Ceremony Order

08:30- Honor guard with pipes and drums enter with color guard. Present arms. Order arms. Color guard to face together and form up behind rest of guard.  Two members to place a memorial wreath next to the podium.
