LTU APWA Accreditation

Transportation and Utilities American Public Works Association Accreditation

The City of Lincoln Department of Transportation and Utilities (LTU) was awarded the Accreditation designation from the American Public Works Association (APWA) in December 2018. The APWA Accreditation program recognizes public works agencies that go beyond the requirements of the management practices established nationally in the public works industry.

Accreditation renewal occurs every four years. LTU was awarded re-accreditation from the APWA in December 2022. An APWA evaluation team conducted a three-day evaluation in October. During the site review, 527 practices applicable to LTU’s operations were evaluated and scored to meet national standards. LTU was designated by the team to be in full compliance in all practices.
