48th from Old Cheney to Nebraska Parkway - Street Improvements

Project Summary

Lincoln on the Move invested in improvements to approximately one-third of a mile of 48th Street from Old Cheney Road to Nebraska Parkway. These improvements include pavement repair, removal and replacement of pavement, base repairs, public utility adjustments, inlet top, median, and curb repairs or replacement. Additional work with other funding sources includes upgrades to the existing curb ramps to comply with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

Funding Details

This project was programmed as a part of the commitment to voters to invest significant sales tax funds into improvement of existing streets. The project was funded jointly from the Highway Allocation Funds (aka-Gas Tax) and ¼ cent sales tax for streets in accordance with ballot language.

Schedule

Construction took place in 2023.
