Lincoln on the Move is investing in improvements to several streets in the Pound Middle School Neighborhood. These improvements will include a mill and overlay of the existing surface and base repairs where required. The following streets are included:
Additional work with other funding sources includes upgrades to the existing curb ramps to comply with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and other miscellaneous construction items.
This project is programmed as a part of the commitment to voters to invest significant sales tax funds into improvement of existing streets. The project will be funded jointly from ¼ cent sales tax for streets and another funding source to be determined in accordance with ballot language. Until more detailed information is known, the total project estimate and funding split is an assumption.
Construction is planned to start after school is out in May 2025 be completed by early fall.
Full street closures or lane closures will be needed during construction. Local access will be maintained to the extent possible.
Pedestrian access will be limited in areas during sidewalk and ramp reconstruction.
