Oak Lake Cleanup
Volunteers are needed to help clean up fireworks debris and other trash at the annual Oak Lake Cleanup.
When:
July 5, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where:
Oak Lake Park,
North 1st and Charleston streets
Volunteers meet at the park shelter just northwest of the playground. Free lunch is provided to volunteers.

Fireworks and Ammunition Collection
The Bureau of Fire Prevention also hosts a free collection of unused fireworks and ammunition.
Unexploded fireworks and ammunition may be taken to a free collection event from 9 to 11:30 a.m., July 5, in the east parking lot at Oak Lake Park.
