Located on the south side of Holmes Lake in Holmes Park, Hyde Memorial Observatory is owned by the City of Lincoln and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department.  The facility is operated by knowledgeable volunteers who are available to answer questions about the night sky, explain how the equipment works and interpret special astronomical occurrences.

Gaze at the night sky through three powerful telescopes, enjoy programs about astronomy or space exploration that change monthly, and interact with knowledgeable volunteers.  Free.

Weekday special showings for groups of 20 or more may be arranged with two weeks notice by calling 402-441-8708.
