PROJECT OVERVIEW

Lincoln Parks and Recreation staff and representatives from the Lincoln Flying Disc Club (LFDC) will be sharing information regarding the proposed trail planned for the area, as well as plans for a new 18-hole flying disc golf course.

PROJECT LOCATION

The proposed projects would be located through the Beal Slough Greenway corridor in the southeast portion of the City. This greenway begins east of 56th Street and north of London Road near an existing 56th Street Sidepath (aka Helen Boosalis Trail). The proposed trail alignment would extend southeast along the east side of Beal Slough and west of the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) railroad tracks until it connects to the Pine Lake Road Sidepath. The proposed flying disc golf course would follow along the trail and utilize the natural areas of Beal Slough Greenway.
