Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash Investigation | S 33rd & Nebraska Pkwy

On Monday, November 21, 2022. at 4:32 p.m., Lincoln Police officers were detailed to S. 33rd and Nebraska Parkway on report of an injury accident involving two vehicles. The initial investigation determined a silver Toyota Prius was westbound on Nebraska Parkway when it attempted to turn southbound on S. 33rd Street. As the Prius made the turn, it was struck on the passenger side by a white pickup that was eastbound on Nebraska Parkway.

The driver of the Prius, an 80-year-old female from Lincoln, was transported to the hospital by Lincoln Fire and Rescue in life threatening condition. She ultimately succumbed to the injuries she sustained in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

We are working to notify the family of the woman killed and request privacy for them as they grieve. We would like to extend our condolences to her family and friends.
