Nearly $5 Million Awarded to 15 Tourism Nonprofits

City of Lincoln and Lancaster County officials today announced their allocation of $4.9 million in grant awards to 15 local nonprofit tourist organizations impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The funding was made available to the City and County by the American Rescue Plan (ARP) State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.

City Receives $23.6 Million for Multimodal Transportation Center

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) Director Liz Elliott today announced StarTran has been awarded a $23,665,721 million federal grant to design and build a new multimodal transportation center. The grant is from the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grant program.

Movies in the Park 2022

August 12, 2022

Bring lawn chairs, blankets. Movies will begin around 8:45-9:00 p.m. depending on sunset.

In the case of inclement weather, the movies will be moved inside the Recreation Center. Social distancing between groups is to be maintained.
