City Provides Update on Water Main Project

Published on December 22, 2020

A project replacing 2,400 feet of water main pipe in the area of Cornhusker Highway between North 14th and North 27th streets is on schedule for completion in late January. This project will help provide clean and safe drinking water to Lincoln residents and businesses. The right-side westbound lane on Cornhusker Highway remains closed during the work.

Work has been completed on the first of two segments of this project. The first segment replaced 1,750 feet of water main along Cornhusker Highway between North 14th and Adams streets. The second segment begins in late December and will replace 625 feet of water main on Yolande Avenue from North 20th Street east to the Yolanda Avenue cul-de-sac.

Travelers should exercise caution around the work zone. LTU projects are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
