Two Street Closures Scheduled This Week

Two projects begin this week that will require temporary street closures. The schedule is as follows:

• Thursday, February 11, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Two northbound lanes and one southbound lane on North 84th Street between Vine Street and Larson Boulevard will be closed for tree removal.  Northbound traffic will be temporarily diverted into the center turn lane.  Southbound left-turns will be prohibited during this time. StarTran Route 42-Bethany bus stops in the area will be closed during the project. For more information on StarTran routes and detours, visit transit.lincoln.ne.gov or call 402-476-1234.
• Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: “R” Street between Pinnacle Arena Drive and Canopy Street will be closed for the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department vaccination clinic at the Arena.  Access to Red One garage on the corner of “R” Street and Pinnacle Arena Drive will be maintained.

Digital signs will alert travelers to upcoming work and closures.  Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes and exercise caution around the work zones.  Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) appreciates the public’s patience during this work.  LTU project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
