Lincoln City Libraries (LCL) and the Arbor Day Foundation invite residents to a One Book One Lincoln event to celebrate the top three finalist, “North Woods” Saturday, August 10. The event will be at from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Gere Branch Library, 2400 S. 56th St.
"One Book One Lincoln and the Arbor Day Foundation are excited to be collaborating on a program that will provide fun, entertainment, and knowledge for all ages by celebrating the Top Three Finalist, “North Woods” by Daniel Mason, which highlights the way trees act as witnesses to human history," said Jennifer Jackson, Librarian Facilitator for One Book One Lincoln.
The program will include:
“Headquartered in downtown Lincoln and known as the largest nonprofit organization in the world dedicated to planting trees, the Arbor Day Foundation is partnering with Lincoln City Libraries to celebrate the profound layers of good trees do for the world,” said Jeff Salem, Director of Communications and Public Relations at the Arbor Day Foundation.
