Trail Network Repair Projects Begin July 3
Trail Network Repair Projects Begin July 3
Published on July 01, 2025
The Parks and Recreation Department today announced that repairs will begin Thursday, July 3, at various locations on the Old Cheney, Mopac, and Billy Wolff trails. The work is expected to be completed by July 18.
Work areas include:
Old Cheney Trail between South 16th and South 27th Streets
Billy Wolff Trail between the Rickman’s Dog Run and Old Cheney Road
MoPac Trail between North 70th and South 84th Streets
Repair work includes cutting vertical pavement separations to smooth the trail surface. The work areas will be limited to one side of a trail at a time and the trails will remain open. No work will be performed on July 4. Trail users should expect dust and loud noises at the work areas and are advised to use caution.
