City Council Office
This month we’ll hear from Monica Zinke, Fresh Start Executive Director, explaining how Fresh Start gives support to homeless women, helping them through difficult circumstances to where they overcome adversity and become contributing members of our community.
As Executive Director, Monica oversees Fresh Start, a great, and needed Lincoln organization! Monica has 15 years of experience in the social services arena and has worked with a variety of needs, from housing, domestic violence, disaster services and mental health. Monica is a licensed Social Worker and a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. As an Adjunct Professor at Bellevue University, in the College of Professional Studies, she taught human services administration.
Monica will describe Fresh Start’s transitional program, the time frame for residents, along with the goals program that empowers homeless women to change their lives and become self-sufficient. Many facets make up Fresh Start and Monica is leaving time open to answer questions about Fresh Start and/or about homelessness in Lincoln.
