2019 Citywide Arterial Street Rehabilitation Project
Updated October 4, 2019
Scope of Work
The 2019 citywide pavement rehabilitation project includes work on three major streets in the city. At each location, street improvements will include mill and overlay of the existing asphalt, pavement repairs, joint sealing and new pavement markings. Pedestrian ramps may be reconstructed to meet federal and local standards, as necessary.
- S Folsom from W Pioneers to W South
- W Van Dorn from S Coddington to Railroad Tracks
- NW 48th from W Fletcher to W Craw
Construction on S Folsom Street between W Pioneers Boulevard and W South Street was completed in early October 2019.
Construction on W Van Dorn Street between S Coddington Avenue and S Folsom Street was completed mid September 2019.
Construction on NW 48th Street between W Craw Street and W Fletcher Avenue was completed in July 2019.
Access During Construction
Each street will be closed to through traffic during mill and overlay (resurfacing) operations. Construction flagging operations will need to occur at times. Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route. Local access to residences and businesses will be maintained.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities greatly appreciates the public's patience and cooperation during construction.
