2019 Citywide Arterial Street Rehabilitation Project

Scope of Work
The 2019 citywide pavement rehabilitation project includes work on three major streets in the city. At each location, street improvements will include mill and overlay of the existing asphalt, pavement repairs, joint sealing and new pavement markings. Pedestrian ramps may be reconstructed to meet federal and local standards, as necessary.
- W Van Dorn from S Coddington to Railroad Tracks (scheduled to begin Sep. 9, 2019)
- NW 48th from W Fletcher to W Craw
- S Folsom from W Pioneers to W South
Construction on W Van Dorn Street between S Coddington Avenue and S Folsom Street is scheduled to begin September 9, 2019. The street will be closed to through traffic during mill and overlay operations. Access to local businesses will be maintained. The Bison Trail crossing near SW 15th and W Van Dorn Street will also be closed. Work is anticipcated to be completed by September 20, 2019.
Construction on NW 48th Street from W Craw Street to W Fletcher Avenue was completed in July.
Access During Construction
Each street will be closed to through traffic during mill and overlay (resurfacing) operations. Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
