California musician Andy Strain, a former member of Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra (LSO), will give two free performances of "The Bremen Town Musicians" at Lincoln City Libraries next week:
Strain is in Lincoln as an artist-in-residence for LSO. Strain's family program begins with a grand entrance and unveiling of a trombone. He will then tell the Brothers Grimm story, playing each musical character to the tune of "When the Saints Go Marching In." At the end of the performance, a red trombone makes a memorable appearance for those in the audience to try.
